Our wonderful Scott was in an extremely serious accident early this week.  While traversing some stairs, he slipped and fell and got hung up by his right leg while being suspended upside-down.  Shortly thereafter, some men nearby heard his voice and got him down.  In that short time, his leg was badly injured, including break in the knee and a protruding upper part of his tibia breaking through the skin.  He was taken to the hospital in Wenatchee, where it was realized that he needed to be airlifted to Harborview for more expert care.  His foot was in danger of being lost, so the doctors used a vessel from his other leg to bypass the badly injured artery in his right leg.  After a 7 1/2 hour surgery, they were able to save his foot!  The plan is now to wait for the trauma and swelling to go down enough to do the next round of surgeries.  He is expected to be at Harborview 2 to 3 more weeks for surgeries.  He called me and tearfully told me, “I will dance again!”  He expects a long road to recovery, but has been so grateful for the support by friends and family.  Scott very much appreciates your prayers and thoughts.  When I find out the address/room # of where he is, I will post it.
